Today was an early start at 7am and another round of eggs and the bitter sweet orange juice. We entered as the children sang the national anthem it was amazing
and the children love our time and the affection we give to them. Today was the same as yesterday full of joy, love and laughter. Today Kirsten Bowden and I Daniel Healy, gave speeches at IHA-UDP to thank them and tell them about our overall experience with the children. A bit of Kirsty’s talk as follows…”I would like to thanks CRED for giving us an opportunity to come to Addis and work with all the amazing children. Its been such an amazing experience their has been highs’ and lows bit the children’s faces were absolutely priceless.” They gave us presents which were bracelets and musical instruments which were hand made. When we returned the children greeted us with the same affection that they always do after lunch. After dinner today we meet an inspirational lady, Cherry or that was her nickname at least and she taught us all about the charity organization that she works for known as Women at Risk. She taught us about her origination which helps prostitutes get off the street and teaches them employable skills to get them into work. They do this process in 12 months, the 1st six months are spent dealing with emotional problems and the 2nd 6 months are teaching them. 94% stay of the streets after working with Women at Risk. What a great project. What a great day!
